Privacy Policy

Sprigg Finance (“Sprigg,” “we,” “our”) is a personal finance app for iOS developed by Seif Abuashour. This policy explains what information the app handles and how we respect your privacy.

Summary

  • Your transactions, accounts, budgets, and goals are stored on your device.
  • We do not sell your data or use it for cross-app advertising.
  • Sprigg’s own app targets declare no tracking and no data collection by Sprigg for advertising.
  • Optional iCloud sync uses Apple’s CloudKit under your Apple ID.

Information you provide

When you use Sprigg, you may enter financial information such as account names, balances, transactions, categories, budgets, saving goals, loans, and notes. This data is processed locally to show your ledger, charts, reminders, and coaching features.

On-device processing

The following features process data on your device and do not send your transaction content to Sprigg servers:

  • Bank SMS parsing and share-extension text import
  • Screenshot OCR for transaction import (Share extension)
  • Consult Sprigg budget insights (local engine in current versions)
  • Backup export and import (JSON/CSV files you control)

iCloud sync (optional)

If you enable iCloud sync during onboarding or in Settings, your Sprigg data may sync between your devices using Apple iCloud/CloudKit. Apple’s privacy policy and your iCloud settings govern that sync. We do not operate a separate Sprigg cloud database for your ledger in the current app version.

Subscriptions (Sprigg Pro)

Sprigg Pro purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate receipts and manage subscription status. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers according to their privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Diagnostics

Sprigg may write limited technical logs on your device (via Apple’s unified logging) to diagnose Siri, notifications, bank-message parsing, and subscription issues. These logs are designed not to include your transaction amounts, full bank SMS text, or merchant names, and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Third-party services

  • Apple — App Store billing, iCloud, Siri, widgets, and system frameworks.
  • RevenueCat — subscription status (see above).

We do not integrate third-party advertising or marketing analytics SDKs in Sprigg.

Data retention and deletion

Data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, copies may remain in your iCloud account until you manage them through Apple. You can export a backup from Settings before deleting.

Children

Sprigg is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

Sprigg is operated from Jordan. By using the app, you understand your device holds your data locally and optional sync may involve Apple’s global infrastructure.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
